Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and GoodSign Limited, a New Zealand company, for your use of tiny.help. Using the service means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you have the authority to do that.
On this page
1. What the service is
tiny.help is a hosted support desk: a live chat widget for your website, a shared inbox for you and your team, email that carries conversations when nobody is at the desk, and optional connections to AI tools you bring yourself. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older. Give us accurate details and keep them current. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure — tell us promptly if you think someone else has reached it.
You are responsible for everyone you add to your desk, and their use of it counts as yours.
3. Your visitors’ data
This is the clause most worth reading. When people message you through the widget, tiny.help records their messages, attachments, IP address, approximate location, browser, and the last 20 pages they viewed on your site.
That data is yours, and so is the responsibility for it. You are the controller; we process it for you.
You agree that you have a lawful basis to collect it, that your own privacy policy tells your visitors what you collect and why, and that you will honour their requests to see or delete it. You agree not to use the service to gather personal information that you have no proper reason to hold.
Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what is collected and how we handle it, and forms part of these terms.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use tiny.help to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else do so
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited email, or marketing to people who did not ask for it
- Harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate anyone
- Upload malware, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights
- Attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or try to reach another account’s data
- Resell the service or run it as your own product without our written agreement
The outbound email in particular is for genuine support correspondence. Using it as a bulk sending channel puts our sending reputation at risk and will end your account.
5. Trial, billing and refunds
- Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. No charge during it.
- On day 15 your card is charged for the plan you picked, unless you cancelled first. We email a reminder three days before.
- If you forget and did not want to continue, tell us within 30 days and we will refund you in full.
- Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or annually, whichever you chose — until you cancel. Cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Prices are shown in US dollars, or in New Zealand dollars for New Zealand customers, in which case GST is added at checkout and shown on your invoice.
- If a payment fails we will tell you and give you a chance to fix it before access is limited.
We may change prices. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days’ notice by email, and the new price applies from the next renewal, never mid-period.
6. Plans and limits
Each plan includes a number of sites and people, listed on the pricing page. Every plan includes every feature — the plans differ in size, not in capability.
Nothing breaks when you reach a limit: the desk tells you, and you can change plan there and then. A site means one widget key and one inbound email address; archived sites do not count.
7. AI and other integrations
Connecting an AI tool is optional. You may connect your own — through our MCP integration or our API — using your own account with that provider. If you do, you authorise it to read and act on your desk, its processing happens on that provider’s systems, and your use of it is governed by your agreement with them rather than by these terms. Choosing a provider you are willing to send your customers’ data to is your decision to make.
We may also use AI services ourselves to deliver features. Our Privacy Policy sets out how that works and names any provider involved.
AI output is a draft. Nothing reaches one of your customers until a person approves it, you remain responsible for everything sent from your desk, and we are not liable for the content of a draft you choose to send.
The service may connect to other third-party tools. We are not responsible for those services, their availability, or what they do with data you direct to them.
8. Who owns what
You own your content — your conversations, your customer data, your settings, your saved replies. You grant us only the licence we need to host, process and transmit it in order to run the service for you.
We own tiny.help itself: the software, design, name and logo. These terms give you a licence to use the service, not any ownership of it.
If you send us feedback or a feature suggestion, we may act on it freely and without obligation.
9. Availability
We work to keep tiny.help running continuously, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime commitment, and the service may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our control. We will not be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
10. Ending it
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that puts the service or other customers at risk, or that has not been paid for.
When an account closes, access stops. Export anything you need first — ask us and we will help. We will delete your data on request, and otherwise in line with our Privacy Policy. Sections 8, 11, 12 and 13 survive termination.
11. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law does not allow us to exclude.
To the maximum extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the month before the claim arose.
If you are a consumer in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act gives you rights that these terms cannot take away, and nothing here limits them. Those guarantees do not apply where you acquire the service for business purposes.
12. Indemnity
You agree to cover us for claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your handling of your visitors’ personal information.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction. Before either of us starts formal proceedings, we agree to try in good faith to sort it out directly for 30 days — which, given what we build, ought to be easy enough.
14. General
- We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to you, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
- If any clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- Not enforcing a term once does not waive it.
- We may transfer these terms as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business; you may not transfer them without our written consent.
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
- You agree to receive notices from us by email.
