Running live support on
The whole desk, in one tab
A shared inbox, an assistant that answers from your own pages, and a way to hand any of it to a person. Here is what that actually looks like.

Let your agent do the setup
The hard part of a help desk was never the widget. It is the knowledge: somebody has to sit down and write out everything a customer might ask. That is why most desks ship with an empty knowledge base that stays empty.
Connect Claude Code, Claude, Codex or ChatGPT to tinyhelp and it is handed the instructions. It reads your codebase feature by feature, or compiles what you have already written, and produces one guide per area with a source line under every claim. It checks each claim back against the source. It strips anything internal. Then it stops and asks you to read the folder.
Nothing goes up until you say so. The guides live in your repo, so next time the product changes your agent updates them and pushes them again.

Two lines, and your agent has the instructions. You sign in, pick a plan, and read what it writes. It does the rest.

What you do yourself
- Sign in when the browser opens. Your first sign-in creates the account.
- Pick a plan and add a card at Stripe. 14 days free, nothing charged until day 15.
- Tell your agent you're done. It creates the site, sets the welcome message and colours, installs the widget if it can see your code, and crawls what you tell it to.
- Read what it wrote. Every guide, before a word of it is uploaded. This is the only step nobody can do for you, and it is worth the twenty minutes.
- Turn on notifications at the end: the bell on your desk, then the desk on your phone.
Your agent stays connected afterwards to keep the knowledge current: re-run the guides when the product changes, re-crawl after a redesign, and correct the assistant when it gets something wrong. It can work the inbox too, which is the one to reach for when you are chasing a bug through your own code: pull the thread into your terminal, find the line, draft the reply. It only ever sends once you say so.
It answers from your pages, and it shows you which one
Someone asks how a feature works at eleven at night. tinyhelp answers from the guides you approved and the pages it crawled, with a quiet link on the word that proves it. If the answer is not in there, it says so instead of inventing one.
does the widget work on Shopify? about to buy but I don’t want to touch code
It does. One line in your theme’s footer, just before the closing </body> tag, and there is no app to install.
and can I get a refund if it doesn’t suit?
Got it. John has been pinged and will reply as soon as they’re free.
Morning! Yes, 30 days, no questions. I’ll sort it myself if you ever need it.
-
Only what you approved
Your own material and nothing else. No general knowledge about products like yours, no invented setting, no invented price. Every answer carries a link back to the page behind it.
-
It knows what not to touch
Billing, cancellations, refunds, legal and security never get answered, and it never promises a fix, a date or a discount. Those come straight to you, with whatever it could collect while the person was still there.
-
It stands down the moment you arrive
Start typing and it stops, mid-thread. You are never arguing with your own bot in front of a customer, and you never have to switch it off to take over.
Included on every plan, and never billed by the resolution. Fin charges $0.99 an outcome; the rest meter between $0.49 and $0.75. Ours costs us a fraction of a cent to run, so there is nothing to meter and no reason to.

Nor have we. That’s the objection tinyhelp is built around, not the one it ignores. You are never expected to be at a desk.
Step away and it becomes email
Nobody is left hanging and nothing sits in a queue you have to remember. Reply from your inbox at nine at night; it lands back in their chat.
It has already been answered
The questions you answer over and over are answered without you, from your own pages, while you were asleep. What reaches you is the part that actually needed a person.
No shift to sit through
Two taps to install, push when something actually needs you, silence when it doesn’t. Support fits around the day instead of eating it.
On your desktop, or in your pocket
The whole desk runs in a browser tab. On a phone it installs in two taps. No App Store, no download, and never an update to install, because it updates itself the moment we ship.
Messages arrive in realtime with a push notification, so you can answer from the queue at the supermarket and the visitor never knows you weren’t at a desk.
Who’s here, and who’s got it
Two things a shared inbox needs the moment there is more than one of you.
Nobody has to open the chat
The Live page shows everyone reading your site right now, not just the ones who type: the page they’re on, the city, how long they’ve stayed, and whatever your site passes through. Someone sitting on Checkout is a conversation waiting to happen. Off until you switch it on, per site.
Put a name on it
“@mike can you take this one?” is a private note and a handover. It pins to the top of Mike’s inbox, pushes to his phone, emails him if he’s away, and stays pinned until it’s done. Nothing is routed away from anyone else: assignment only ever adds a nudge.

Questions.
Is tinyhelp live chat software or a help desk?
Both, and that is rather the point. The chat widget on your site and the shared inbox behind it are one product. A visitor's live chat, their emails, and your team's replies all sit in the same conversation instead of two systems that never quite agree.
How do I install it on my website?
One script tag before the closing </body> tag. No build step and no package to install, so it works on Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, a Rails app, or a hand-edited HTML file. Most people are live in two minutes.
What happens when nobody is online to answer?
Email takes over. The visitor leaves an address, tinyhelp emails you, and you reply from your own inbox, and your reply lands back in their chat. If they have already closed the tab, they get it by email, and whatever they write back threads into the same conversation.
Can I see who is on my website right now?
Yes. The Live page lists everyone browsing your sites at that moment, not only the ones who open the chat: the page they’re reading, their city, how long they’ve been there, the browser they’re on, and any data your site passes through. It’s per site, and off until you switch it on.
Can I assign a conversation to someone on my team?
Yes. @name them in a private note and the conversation pins to the top of their inbox, pushes to their phone, and emails them if they’re away. It stays pinned until someone marks it done. Nothing is routed away from anyone else: assignment adds a nudge, it never makes the inbox go quiet for the rest of the team.
Does it answer customers on its own?
Only if you switch it on, and it’s off until you do. It answers from the pages it crawled and the guides your agent wrote, and from nothing else, so it can’t invent a setting or a price. Every answer links to the page behind it. It sticks to how-to, setup, pricing and product questions and says so out loud when a question isn’t one of those, and it never touches billing, cancellations, refunds, legal or security. It stops the moment one of your people starts typing.
Do I need a Claude or ChatGPT subscription?
No. The assistant that answers your customers runs on our account and is included on every plan, with no per-answer fee. A Claude or ChatGPT plan is what lets your own agent do the setup: read your code, write your support guides, and upload them once you have read every word. Worth having, not required. See how it works with Claude.
How is this different from Intercom, Crisp or tawk.to?
Price shape, mostly. The big desks charge per seat and then again per AI resolution, at $0.49 to $0.99 an outcome, so a small team gets expensive quickly. tinyhelp is $29 a month for three sites and three people, and the assistant is included rather than metered. It is deliberately smaller: their bots resolve more than ours does, and if you need workflow builders and a ticketing taxonomy, buy one of those instead. Here's the honest comparison with Intercom, including when you should stay put.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The whole desk, not a cut-down version. Two taps to add it to your home screen on iPhone or Android and it behaves like a native app, with push notifications the moment a message arrives. It updates itself when we ship.
What does it cost, and is there a free trial?
$29 a month for the Freelancer plan, up to $199 for Agency, and every plan includes every feature. They differ in how many sites and people they cover. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. See pricing for the detail.
